Following the merger and partial sale in FY 2003, the Group reduced its stake in the enlarged Altum to 40%. Altum completed its relocation to the Senai plant in Johor in FY 2003. The Senai operations experienced some relocation-related disruption in early FY 2004. However, Altum's performance improved in the second half of FY 2004, and resulted in a $687,000 contribution from the associate for the full year.

Having achieved limited success, Altum will continue to diversify its turnover across a broad range of industries. The momentum of improvement at Altum is expected to continue into FY 2005 and higher contribution is expected from this associate in the current year.
